Story Bank Art Collection Commission - The Bird Woman Trompe L’oeil.

Expressions of Interest are now open for the Story Bank Art Collection. Fraser Coast Regional Council invites expressions of interest from Queensland-based artists and designers, both emerging and established to be a part of this exciting new cultural and community asset.

The Bird Lady is one of the most memorable characters in Mary Poppins. She sits on the steps of St. Paul's cathedral feeding the birds and selling bags of seeds so other people can feed the birds.

This character will be brought to life in the atrium of the Maryborough Story Bank. The Bird Lady will be created as a sculpture, sitting on a bench. Behind the sculpture a Trompe L’oeil depicting St. Paul's cathedral and the many birds she feeds will be created.

Council seeks quotes for the development of this Trompe L’oeil.
