Experience the future of human to machine interfaces in this fast paced, real-life vs VR game controller workshop. Turn anything into a game controller, from movement, to touch, to sound, to heartbeats, to brain waves and more.
Transform the games you know and love with a whole new level of collaborative and competitive play designed by you. Build the next generation of gaming experience in ultra-tactile VR like hot, cold, soft and hard surfaces and use whole body biometrics to play. This hands on workshop is delivered by Master Maker, Mic Black (Mic’s Lab, Makers of Play, Readiness.IO) and will involve soldering, electronics, code, and intense creativity.
Mic has previously been known to gesture control a 33t excavator, build a brain controlled motion platform VR rollercoaster, convert a full size car into a self-driving, talking and listening autonomous vehicle. He is an Advance Queensland Digital Champion for digital literacy and dynamic supporter of STEAM initiatives that are loud, exciting and unconventional.
