Create your own museum tag!

Kierra-Jay Power’s workshop encourages kids to think about science and material culture.

Participants in the young children’s workshops (6 – 12 years) will create personalised name and identification tags with thick paper, fabric, or leather, which they can emboss using metal stamps that require no drilling.

Participants in the teen workshop (13 – 18 years) will create key chains or backpack name tags by metal stamping on strips of recycled copper. Using letter and number stamps, personalised name and identification tags which resemble museum tag collection systems will be created. The stamped strips will then be folded over and tube riveted together.

The Artist will lead discussions about the things they own that are important to them, and why.

Bookings essential. Tickets $11 members $15 non members.
