Aramara

Enjoy the peaceful surroundings and beautiful scenery at the small township of Aramara. There are toilets and a picnic table in the Monica Hodges Park.

Antigua

Situated between Tiaro and Mungar, Antigua is a quiet rural town with a small country hall.

Aldershot

Miners moved into the area as early as 1864 when a seam of coal was discovered on the banks of the Burrum River.

Brooweena

Experience a traditional 1800s Australian country village brought to life that offers a truly unique glimpse into the past.

Boonooroo has a range of general services and facilities including a bowls club, golf course, tennis court and bike and boat hire.

Bauple

Visit the Mt Bauple Museum in the centre of town where you can discover more about the pioneers who settled the area and see a treasure trove of memorabilia.

Fraser Island

Words cannot really capture the emotion of seeing the stark contrast of talc-like white sand and blue-green window lakes, the ancient dignity of the towering rainforests growing in seemingly infertile sands, the purity of the water flowing in its many creeks … it is possible to go on and on, just like the seemingly endless beaches.

Burrum Heads

Stroll along soft, sandy beaches, collect fascinating shells, explore rivers and creeks by boat or canoe or just sit and watch the pelicans or some of the other 90 species of bird life that inhabit the area.

Glenwood

The small rural locality of Glenwood is located just off the Bruce Highway, 53km south of Maryborough. Bordered by State Forest, it is a popular lifestyle choice for rural residential living.

Gundiah

This former railway siding is named after the local aboriginal word for 'goodbye' as it was the exit way from Butchulla tribal lands. Gundiah has a school and community oval and is home to the historic Prince Alfred Hotel, originally built in 1868.
