Mary Poppins - Visit the Mary Poppins statue in Richmond Street, Maryborough outside the birthplace of author P.L.Travers and take a photo with this life sized statue of the world's most famous nanny. Dress up and join in the fun and magic of the Mary PoppinsFestival in Maryborough each July school holidays. Or you can take a pencil or crayon and paper to the Town Hall Green where Ten Mary Poppins characters are etched on the brick plinths. Take a copy by placing a sheet of paper on top and rubbing with a pencil.
Steam Train Rides - Ride a working replica of Queensland's first steam engine, or take a seat on a miniature steam train for a guaranteed fun. The Mary Ann runs every Thursday and the last Sunday of the month in Queens Park, Maryborough. Miniature trains run as part of Maryborough's Sunday in the Park, every last Sunday of the month.
River Boat Cruise - Take a river boat ride on the historic Mary River.
PIER & BEACH FISHING in Hervey Bay waters. Fishing is a popular pastime in Hervey Bay there are many great spots to try your luck on the Pier, rock walls, jetty, beaches and estuary's or just relax and enjoy our beautiful beaches. Ask any of the local fishing tackle specialists - they will get you started.

STORY TIME - Fraser Coast Libraries conduct free Story Time and Play sessions for children under school age during the school term. During school holidays, a program of exciting holiday activities are also held.
