Go nuts over history at Bauple District Museum

From tables that once graced the rooms of our state parliament in the 80’s to a 10-foot crocodile skin caught in the Mary River back in the 60’s, Bauple Museum has an array interesting exhibits that will take any visitor back to a time when life was more simple and the township of Bauple was a thriving community of pioneering families. 

Officially opened in 2001 by the then Governor of Queensland, Peter Arnison who arrived in style by a Cobb & Co Coach, the museum was built to prefer the local history of Bauple and its surrounding areas.

Set in beautiful gardens maintained by the Bauple Museum & District Historical Society Inc. the museum has free bbq’s and children’s park for visitors to enjoy while spending time exploring the rich local history the museum has to offer.

The museum is a tribute to the hard work and effort of the museum society who have worked tirelessly to preserve local history. It is open 9am - 2pm Friday to Tuesday. Closed public holidays.
