Travel Bursary

Fraser Coast Schools Cultural Travel Bursary - Expression of Interest

Fraser Coast Schools Cultural Travel Bursary is dedicated to supporting Fraser Coast schools to visit Fraser Coast Regional Council's cultural services venues. 

Bursaries can contribute towards costs associated with transport to and from Council's cultural services venues - Brolga Theatre, The Story Bank, Bond Store, Hervey Bay Regional Gallery and Gatakers Artspace. 

Conditions 
This bursary is for Fraser Coast schools only. The maximum funding amount per application is $800.
The total funding pool is $6,000 (maximum of $3,000 allocated in Round 1).
Schools can receive a maximum of one bursary for each round. 

Key Dates 
The bursary is currently open for visits between:

  • Round 1: 1 September 2025 – 31 December 2025
  • Round 2: 1 January 2026 - 31 May 2026.

EOIs will remain valid until 30 June 2026.

How to Apply 

  1. Obtain a quotation (current at time of submission) for the cost of your return trip to one or more of Council's cultural services venues
  2. Make a provisional booking with one or more of Council's cultural services venues
  3. Complete and submit this form. 

Selection Process 
All applications will be reviewed by a selection panel. The selection panel will consider the educational merit of the proposal, the need, and the potential impact on students. The selection panel may consider previous funding history of the applicant and also compare competing applications. 

Notification of Outcome 
Applicants will be notified of the outcome within two weeks of receiving this form. 
Successful applicants will be notified via email and requested to supply an invoice from the Applicant for the Bursary amount. 
Payment terms are 30 days from invoice.
