Of special interest is a crocodile skin from a large reptile shot in the Mary River near Owanyilla in 1964 and a 1907 locomotive. The gardens have free BBQs and picnic tables.  Public toilets available at all times.

The Bauple Heritage Trail, a self-guided tour of the township has been created with interpretive signage for the 24 building sites from when Bauple was first "born".  A brochure is available at the museum.
