About Creative Industries, Social Enterprise, Repair and Restoration Initiative (CISERR)

CISERR delivers creative skills development, capacity building, social and economic participation readiness to regional living young men across an 8-week program.

A primary CISERR objective is to make the arts a viable employment pathway for young people in regional areas intersecting multi-art forms, enterprise thinking and sustainable practices.

CISERR uses hands-on creative experiences in small group direct instruction environments to re-engage with learning. They work with professional artists, industry experts, trades people and the local community, adopting a trans-generational knowledge sharing approach to peer-led mentoring and skills exchange.

They operate out of civic community spaces including local men's sheds, galleries, libraries, cafes, churches and council venues. They work by majority with waste materials like fast fashion, discarded shipping pallets and preloved items where they adopt and introduce circular economy practices such as the Right to Repair movement to participants.

About Testimony Arts

Testimony Arts Ltd is a for purpose organisation that designs and delivers social inclusion programs for young people that foster re-engagement with education and community building. It supports pathways to vocational training, employment and social entrepreneurship skills development. They create programs that intersect the restoration, repair and creative industries, and incorporate functional literacy and numeracy learning for social enterprise to support youth agency and capacity.

The organisation works with individuals, families and their communities to shift the in-place conditions and complex challenges experienced by at-risk youth and their communities. They strive to reduce barriers and create pathways to economic and social participation that will bring about economic independence and participatory civic inclusion for regional living young people.
