Val Machin Opera Scenes
Val Machin Scenes brought to you by the Maryborough Regional Arts Council in partnership with the Queensland Conservatorium of Music, Griffith University and the Brolga Theatre.
Whether you are a fan of opera or have never seen a live opera performance, you will be amazed by the energy, talent and passion of over 40 young classically trained opera singers from the Queensland Conservatorium of Music, Griffith University.
Over 90 minutes the operatic works of Mozart, Rossini and Leoncavallo will be brought to life as the students of the classical voice department perform scenes from The Magic Flute, An Italian Girl in Algiers and Pagliacci, with a 20-piece chamber orchestra conducted by Peter Luff.
Opera has never been seen on this scale before on the Fraser Coast. No need to go to Brisbane, Sydney, New York or Milan. Come to the Brolga Theatre and enjoy a smorgasbord of opera – like a share platter you will get a taste of the best of opera.
This spine-tingling performance will move and inspire you!
