Fraser Coast residents interested in helping support and promote local arts, heritage and culture are encouraged to be part of Council’s Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) Advisory Committee.

Cr David Lewis said Council was seeking community representatives to sit on the 2023/24 committee.

“The Fraser Coast has a colourful and vibrant cultural life, and Council is keen to ensure the community has opportunities to appreciate arts, heritage and cultural diversity,” he said.

“RADF is a partnership between the Queensland Government and Council which invests in quality arts and cultural experiences based on priorities determined locally.

“By being part of the committee, community members will advise Council officers on matters relating to the Fraser Coast RADF program.

“It is a rewarding experience that helps support and promote arts, heritage and culture locally, not just artists.

“Council is determined to create connected communities through our places, spaces and people and committees like this one help achieve that.

RADF promotes the role and value of arts, culture, and heritage as key drivers to support diversity and inclusivity; grow strong regions; and provide training, education and employment opportunities for Queensland artists and local communities.
