Ready to bring your creativity to life through fabric? Join local textile artist Sharon Anderson for a quilting workshop, perfect for beginners and those looking to refresh their skills!
In this hands-on class, you’ll start with the foundations of quilt construction and quickly move into exciting techniques like freehand cutting, overlay cutting, and even working with curves – all designed to help you express your unique style.
Whether you're a total beginner or just curious about quilting, this is your chance to dive in, learn the craft, and walk away with new skills and confidence.
When: Sunday, 8 June | 9.30am to 1.30pm
Where: Upstairs Gatakers Creative Space, 311 Kent Street, Maryborough
Cost: $150; registration required - contact Sharon Anderson to register
Age requirement: 15 years and over
What to Bring:
- Sewing machine (must be electrically tagged) including your manual and accessories;
- Cutting boards / roller cutter /scissors;
- Template cutters (optional - Sharon will demonstrate on the day)
- Fabric: Bring approx 2 metres of fat quarters of variety of colour tones (using gray scale), and a mix of different motifs sizes.

- Irons and ironing oards

- Guidance and support throughout the day
