A collection of works on canvas inspired by the artist’s coastal location in Hervey Bay.

Kim Osburn is an artist with a passion for Australian Native Flora and Fauna.

Coastal is a collection of works on canvas inspired by her coastal location in Hervey Bay and her daily walks along its beaches and surrounding foreshore habitat which is ever changing with each new tide.

Whether it is low tide or high tide, sunrise or sunset there is always a moment to be captured. Marine life and birdlife in abundance forms much of her subject matter.

Turtles and jumping eagle rays are fascinating as is the majestic osprey diving deep off the jetty and surfacing with a fish firmly wedged in his talons. It goes without saying that our beautiful bay is renowned for our magnificent Humpbacks and their calves.

Every day is another opportunity to take an image and bring it to life through Kim’s art.

Kim works in a variety of mediums, preferring acrylics and inks for vibrancy and their unpredictable nature when applied as washes. Always looking to introduce new elements and experiment with textures Kim has incorporated gold, copper and silver leaf into this current body of work.
