Explore the possibilities of manufacturing with 3D Printing!

Learn to configure a 3D design in the Bambu Studio Slicer software and watch your ideas become reality with the cutting-edge Bambu Lab X1-Carbon 3D Printer! Discover the rewarding workflow of 3D Printing, covering the fundamentals and everything you need to kickstart your journey into 3D prototyping and design. Plus, library members can select and print a design from our 3D Print Gallery as a keepsake.

Sessions and Locations

Makerspace Mastery sessions are held at the Hervey Bay, Maryborough and Howard libraries with varying availability per location. Each session is 45 minutes long with three (3) sessions available on the days indicated below. 

Hervey Bay Library

Tuesdays Weekly and Thursdays Fortnightly
Bookable up to 2 weeks in advance

Requirements 

Attendees must be members of Fraser Coast Libraries and must be at least 12 years of age, or accompanied by their parent or guardian for the entirety of the session.

Attendees must possess basic computer literacy skills including: 

  • Operation of a keyboard and mouse
  • Navigating the internet using a web browser
  • Basic computer file management (saving and opening files)

If you would like to attend a Makerspace Mastery session but do not possess the required digital literacy skills, we suggest first attending one of our Tech Help sessions to develop these skills. Bookings can be made through the Technology Tutorials page. Limited bookings available.
