MRAC Cinema Nights

Presented by Maryborough Regional Arts Council, Cinema Nights are held monthly. Come along and enjoy Art House and foreign movies, followed by refreshments and lively discussions.

Held in the Brolga Theatre's Main Auditorium, please enter via the rear (river side Federation Room path) of the building.  Please Note - Due to refurbishments in the Main Auditorium, the Cinema nights for February and March 2025 will be held in the Federation Room.

Tickets can be purchased at the door. Cost: Adults $12, MRAC Members $10.

MRAC Cinema Club presents Holy Cow (Vingt Dieux)

12 Aug 2026 This film has been called 'a warm family drama'. Directed by Louise Courvoisier as her debut feature film, it uses untrained actors sourced from regional France. It premiered at Cannes in 2024 in the Un Certain Regard section and won the Youth Prize.

MRAC Cinema Club presents The President's Cake

09 Sep 2026 Directed and written by Hasan Hadi, this film premiered at Cannes in 2025 where it won the Audience Award and the Camera d'Or and was also the Iraqi entry in the 98th Academy Awards, making the short list in the Best International Film Division.
