Prepare for an unforgettable evening of timeless orchestral music as the Fraser Coast Orchestra presents Concert Classics—a spectacular celebration of the world's most beloved classical masterpieces.  You may not know the name of the piece, but you will definitely recognise the tune!

Featuring more than 50 orchestral musicians on stage, this exciting concert brings together many of the greatest works ever written, performed with passion, energy and brilliance. Audiences will be swept away by the elegance of The Blue Danube Waltz, the fiery rhythms of Brahms' Hungarian Dance No. 5, the unforgettable melodies of Bizet's Carmen Suite, the dramatic beauty of Grieg's Peer Gynt Suite, the infectious excitement of the Can Can, and many more treasured favourites that have captivated audiences for generations.

The orchestra is conducted by Barrie Gott, one of Australia's most respected conductors, composers and arrangers. With a professional music career spanning more than five decades, Barrie has performed with leading orchestras, served as Musical Director of the Queensland Pops Orchestra, and has worked as an educator, composer and adjudicator throughout Australia and internationally.

Joining the orchestra is acclaimed Australian lyric tenor Paul Tabone, whose international career has taken him from Queensland to some of the world's most prestigious opera houses and concert stages. A former principal performer in London's The Phantom of the Opera, Paul has also appeared with Opera Australia and Opera Queensland, performed throughout Europe, and released a chart-topping classical crossover album. Renowned for his powerful voice and charismatic stage presence, Paul promises to deliver performances that will be a highlight of the evening.

Whether you're a lifelong classical music lover or discovering orchestral music for the first time, Concert Classics offers an evening of unforgettable melodies, spectacular musicianship and entertainment for all ages.
