Hervey Bay Regional Gallery and the Maryborough Printmakers invite expressions of interest for Impressed V, the fifth edition of this celebrated biennial exhibition showcasing the vitality and breadth of printmaking practice across Queensland. First held at Hervey Bay Regional Gallery in 2016, the exhibition returns to HBRG in 2026, marking over a decade of ongoing commitment to creativity and community. Since its inception, the Impressed exhibitions have surveyed a breadth of artistic approaches to printmaking, spanning a range of traditional and contemporary techniques and innovative forays into 2D, 3D and mixed media work. The exhibition brings together printmakers from across Queensland, to celebrate the tactility, versatility and uniqueness of the medium.
Queensland-based artists working across all printmaking disciplines and techniques are invited to submit an Expression of Interest. Artists are encouraged to think expansively about what printmaking can encompass, and to explore approaches beyond traditional paper-based formats. Submissions may incorporate sculpture, textiles, ceramics, bookmaking, video, or other experimental media.
Expressions of Interest: Open Wednesday 1st July 10AM AEST, and close Friday 14th August 5PM AEST.
Exhibition: Saturday 28 November 2026 to Sunday 21st February 2027
Submit: Impressed V
