After an extensive refurbishment, we were thrilled to celebrate our reopening to the public with a day of activities, workshops and talks. The celebrations included the opening of two new exhibitions Wildflowering By Design (Wild/Flower Women IV) and Jam Factory ICON Angela Valamanesh: About Being Here as well as a suite of programs for everyone. Highlights included aButchulla Seasonal Garden Tour with artist Joel Barney including Blackmans Cultural Indulgence bush food tasting platters,Mark making and drawing in response to nature - with Wildflowering by Design artists Edith Rewa and Marni Stuart,Woven bracelet making with Wildflowering by Design artist Francis Blair and Drawing (analogue and digital) with Emma Thorp, aWildflowering by Design floor talk with Aunty Karen Hall, Curator Dr Sue Davis and other artists,Collage making with Wildflowering by Design artist Marlies Oakley,Face painting and Food trucks.
