Chasing Metal Workshop with Ligy Horvath

Next date: Thursday, 12 November 2026 | 05:30 PM to 07:30 PM

Learn the ancient craft of manipulating metal in our Chasing Metal Workshop with Regional Spotlight artist Ligy Horvath.

HBRG is staying up late with Regional Spotlight artist Ligy Horvath as she shares her expertise and knowledge in the techniques of metal manipulation and its artistic applications.

Learn to utilise specialised tools to transfer designs for imprinting and piercing metal to create your own one-of-a-kind metal artwork, and build skills to practice the techniques beyond the workshop.

Ligy (Lilian) Horvath is a local artist who specialises and practices the techniques of Mexican hojalatería and Algerian dinanderie (chasing metal) to create enchanting artworks inspired by animals and traditional embroidery patterns.
