Drop into HBRG to experience hands-on art-making activities inspired by artist Vipoo Srivilasa’s current QAGOMA Children’s Art Centre exhibition, Express Yourself.
Vipoo is a Thai-born, Melbourne-based ceramic artist who is interested in installation and audience participation. He likes to make work that is beautiful, fun and adds a smile to people’s faces. Vipoo often incorporates flowers and imaginary characters in his practice. Positivity, beauty and accessibility are important elements of his work, and he is particularly known for creating ceramic characters covered in flowers, called ‘flower bears’.
This pop-up will include activities such as dancing, drawing and digital media to create works that express thoughts, ideas and feeling.
Vipoo Srivilasa’s Express Yourself: Art Activity Pop Up is a free QAGOMA Touring program available to regional Queensland communities.
