Microplastics takes top honours at Waste to Art Exhibition

A striking microplastics mosaic and dresses made from recycled denim and storage bags wowed visitors at the Waste to Art Exhibition, which opened at Gatakers Artspace in Maryborough.

Libraries Celebrate International Peace Day with 1,000 Cranes

Fraser Coast Libraries are celebrating International Day of Peace this Sunday (September 21) with more than 1,000 handmade paper cranes created by the community as part of the Peace Crane Project.

Acknowledgement of Country

Fraser Coast Regional Council acknowledges to the east, the Butchulla (Badtjala) and to the west, the Kabi Kabi (Kabbi Kabbi, Gubbi Gubbi) People, their connection to Country (land, sea and sky) and recognises the many places of cultural, spiritual, social and economic significance in the community.

We pay respects to their Elders – past, present and emerging. The Fraser Coast Regional Council also acknowledges other Aboriginals, Torres Strait Islander people and the Australian South Sea Islanders the who reside in the Fraser Coast region.
