Valentines Clay Portraits

In the lead-up to Valentine’s Day, join us to sculpt a quirky, cartoon-style portrait on a 20×20 clay slab, creating a playful 2D design with a hint of 3D character. Enjoy a fun, guided date‑night experience suitable for all skill levels. Make it a creative date night with your partner (or your bestie!).

You’ll be taken step‑by‑step through shaping, glazing, and decorating your unique creations.

What to expect:

Guided hand-building techniques: Whether you have experience or are a complete beginner, our facilitator will guide you through a range of clay hand-building methods to help bring your portrait to life.
Ceramic underglazing: You'll get to colour your clay portraits using special ceramic underglazes. Your creations will then stay with us to be twice fired and top glazed, and we will phone you when they're ready to be picked up.

What is included:

Light refreshments will be provided. Refreshments may not suit all dietary requirements.
All materials provided - just bring your creativity and a sense of humour.
This workshop is for over 18's only.

While we support a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere, we kindly ask that alcohol consumption remains moderate. Our venue is dedicated to fostering creativity and connection in a fun, inclusive, and supportive environment.

Ticket price: $50 per person.

Workshop Cancellation Policy

Gatakers Artspace cannot accept responsibility for any changes in personal circumstances. Missed workshops or change of mind are at your own expense.
If a participant chooses to cancel their confirmed registration, or cannot or does not attend the workshop, the following will apply:
The registered participant may invite another person to substitute their place in the workshop (in which they are registered) at any time at no charge;
If notice is received 2 or less days from the scheduled starting date, a refund will not be offered.
If a workshop is cancelled by Gatakers Artspace a full refund or a reschedule will be provided. Gatakers Artspace will endeavour to advise participants of cancellation at least 48 hours prior to workshop.
