To celebrate Youth Week 2026, join Brisbane based screenprinter Sam, from Polygone Cowboy for a four (4) hour workshop where participants will be guided through the complete process of silkscreen printing.

Cost: Free; registration required. (Limited to 15 people)

Suitable for youth: 12-25 years

What to expect

  • Use Posca Pens, liquid drawing ink, and brushes to create an original artwork.
  • Prepare a unique design to be exposed onto a silkscreen.
  • Learn how to create a stencil for screenprinting.
  • Practice printing on paper to develop confidence and technique.
  • Print final design onto a T‑shirt.
  • Have garment heat‑set, making it ready to wear at the end of the workshop.

What's provided

  • All screen‑printing materials (screens, squeegees, inks, emulsions and paper).

What to bring

  • Light coloured Cotton T-Shirt (for printing final design)
  • Make sure you come in comfortable clothing and covered shoes are a must
  • Lunch
  • Water bottle
