This exhibition brings nature to life through vibrant colour, texture, and movement through textiles, screen printing, devore techniques, and embellishment.  Brisbane artist Svenja creates striking three-dimensional sculptures inspired by the wonders of the natural world.

This exhibition invites viewers into a world where nature’s forms are transformed and amplified.

The title DistoMorph combines “distortion” - the act of twisting or altering something out of its natural or original state, with “morph” - to undergo transformation from an image or object into that of another.

Each piece feels like looking through a kaleidoscope, making this exhibition a truly unique experience and I encourage everyone to view it for themselves.

Through colour saturation, distortion and amplification, the exhibition shows how the artist’s inspirations have been manipulated and elevated to an otherworldly dimension.

Originally each inspirational element was tiny, but has been magnified to a large scale, heightening their strangeness and beauty.
