Come along to this beginner's workshop in the Print Studio at Gatakers Creative Space and explore drypoint printmaking.
Drypoint is an intaglio printmaking method that involves scratching an image into a plate with a pointed tool. These lines create a burr that holds ink and gives the resulting prints a velvety or fuzzy appearance.
In keeping with the Waste to Art Exhibition this beginner’s Drypoint printmaking workshop will be using eco-friendly tetra packs as a printing plate. Participants will explore, experiment, and gain fundamental understanding and skills needed to create a print. This workshop is suitable for adults and young people over 12 years old.

Basic drawing skills are an advantage but not essential as some design stimulus and stencils will be available.
Limited to 8 people only - registrations are essential.
Time: 10am to 1pm When: Saturday 22 November Cost: $20.00; registration required.
